Headphones have a number of uses today. From allowing users to listen to their music in high quality sound to making true, hands-free mobile communications possible.
Sennheiser, a manufacturer of headphones, microphones and wireless transmission systems, is a well known name and has been awarded many accolades for their offerings.
The company's latest recognition highlights the quality and affordability of their headphones for the U.S. consumer electronics market.
In this latest honor, three of the company's headphones, the MX 560, the HD 280 and the PXC 450 have all been rated a "Best Buy" by Consumer Digest.
As a headphone that offers comfort as well as clarity, the Sennheiser MX 560 high-performance earbuds were selected as a Best Buy in the “economy” level of “Canalphones/Earbuds”.
In the "mid-range" level of "Full-Size Headphones", the company's HD 280 Pro professional headphones received "Best Buy" recognition for its good price point and the incorporation of noise suppressing ear cups and a single-sided coiled cable and the ability to deliver “deep bass, full mid-range and lively highs."
And, as one of their more advanced offerings, Sennheiser's PXC 450 noise-canceling headphones made the Best Buy list for its unique "TalkThrough" feature, a noise-cancellation switch, and ability for users to continue to listen to music even after the batteries run out.
Earlier this year, the company announced the release of an all new headphone, the HD 800, designed to provide increased performance and clearer, crisper sound images. In addition to an open-back design and an ear cup for comfort and quality, the new headphones also include a transducer technology in a ring design that ensures headphone frequencies sound pure.
