IT products supplier Digital China is now distributing ClearOne’s (News - Alert) HD conferencing solutions in China -- including the Converge Pro, RAV, MAX and CHAT product families.

The deal will greatly strengthen ClearOne’s presence in the region: Beijing-based Digital China is one of the largest distributors of IT solutions in China. The company distributes personal computers, servers, storage equipment, peripherals, networking equipment, mobile office equipment, wireless access equipment and software, and works with more than 9,000 resellers. It has more than 8,500 employees in 19 branches and 30 offices across China.

Li Xiang, general manager of Digital China's Net Department, said in a release that the partnership will allow Digital China to “expand channel coverage and improve customer satisfaction by meeting China's increasing needs for audio conferencing solutions.”

“Digital China has provided great leadership in the IT products and services channels and we are confident they will expand ClearOne's presence in the Chinese market,” added ClearOne CEO Zee Hakimoglu. “We look forward to a successful partnership resulting in continued growth in this strategic region for both Digital China and ClearOne.”

ClearOne Communications, which sells audio conferencing systems and related products for audio, video and Web conferencing applications, made news on TMCnet last week when it announced availability of the Converge Pro 880TA, a new audio conferencing system featuring eight microphones and an integrated four channel power amplifier.

 

The standalone system offers automatic microphone mixing; sophisticated signal processing; signal routing; and ClearOne’s HDConference technology with ultra-wide bandwidth acoustic echo cancellation. What’s more, the 880TA includes ClearOne’s DARE feedback eliminator, which uses a feedback elimination algorithm that the company claims is superior to any other on the market.
