TransGaming Announces an Agreement with Google

TransGaming Inc., a major player in developing and delivering multi-platform technologies and software 3D rendering solutions, and Google (News - Alert) have announced a licensing agreement with SwiftShader, TransGaming's 3D rendering technology that allows applications to generate 3D graphics on a CPU alone without the use of a graphics processing unit.
"Google has recognized TransGaming's expertise in the graphics domain," said Vikas Gupta, CEO & president, TransGaming Inc., in a statement.
The agreement is an expansion of a previous license, and Gupta further elaborated to say that the two companies have worked closely on the ANGLE project and this work, coupled with the SwiftShader license, underscore Google's commitment to bringing high-end graphics content to the browser.
Recently, TransGaming announced that it has signed a licensing agreement valued at $1 million USD with a pioneering Fortune 1000 cloud services provider to enable select products to run on various System-on-Chipsets using TransGaming’s core technology. Due to a confidentiality agreement, the partner cannot specifically be named at this time.
TransGaming has an established history of developing deep intellectual property for enabling games and other applications across a range of platforms. The license fee of $1 million USD is subject to the successful outcome of a proof of concept that is currently underway.
Earlier in February, TransGaming had announced an agreement with Opera Software (News - Alert) to launch GameTree TV content on the Opera TV Store. Through this collaboration, GameTree TV premium branded content will now be distributed to a household market spanning a growing range of televisions and consumer electronic devices through a variety of manufacturers through the Opera TV Store.
The Opera TV Store is available on Sony Bravia TVs and Blu-ray Disc players, and will soon launch with Humax, TCL and Mediatek devices.
