Esnatech’s flagship software solution, formerly known as Cloud Connect, received a new moniker and a slate of new features with the company’s release of Cloudlink 2.0.
The product integrates Cisco (News - Alert) collaboration solutions with an array of cloud-based productivity applications including Google Apps, Salesforce.com and VMWare Zimbra. Cloudlink 2.0 can also integrate on-premise solutions like LotusNotes and NovellGroupWise with Cisco solutions.
For Esnatech, VP of marketing, Lee Ho, the top goal is to improve collaboration in the workplace. “Our Cloudlink solution enhances collaboration by enabling people to easily connect with one another from within the applications that they live in every day, such as email or their CRM system.”
The core capabilities of Cloudlink 2.0 include unified messaging, rich presence, click-to-dial, fax and security. The unified messaging component utilizes Unity Connection, which transcribes voice messages, converts them to mp3 and delivers them to the user’s inbox. Voice messages can then be accessed on either a mobile device or a PC.
With rich presence, Cloudlink integrates with Cisco UC Manager as well as a user’s calendar to indicate that user’s availability. Other users will see if their colleagues are using the phone or if their calendar indicates that they are available for communication.
Click-to-dial works within the Chrome web browser and allows users to click on a phone number to place calls from e-mail when they’re using the Chrome browser. Calls can go through to softphones, deskphones or mobile devices.
To integrate Cisco products, Cloudlink uses standards-based SIP and Cisco’s Jabber software development kit to integrate with Cisco’s collaboration products. With easy installation and configuration wizards, Esnatech’s pure software solution automatically provisions Cisco Unity Connection users on the Cloudlink solution.
“Cloudlink helps our team collaborate more effectively while in the field,” said Esnatech customer Scott Berg, who serves as network administrator for the manufacturing company Wilson Hurd. “With the seamless integration to Google (News - Alert) Apps that Cloudlink give us, it’s easy for our employees to stay connected with colleagues and customers no matter where they may be.”
