Esna Technologies (News - Alert) (esnatech), a provider of enterprise unified communications, announced the launch of its UC Mobile software for the new Windows phone 7 operating system.
The new Office LinX UC Mobile client for Windows Phone (News - Alert) 7 enables the delivery of rich UC functionality on every major mobile platform including Windows Mobile, Apple iPhone, RIM blackberry, Symbian and Google Android (News - Alert), company officials said.
“Our goal at esnatech is to provide anywhere access to communications and our UC Mobile application supports enterprises who are rapidly adopting mobile communications and collaboration tools,” said Davide Petramala, VP of Marketing and Sales, in a statement.
“With our UC Mobile solution, employees can manage calls, calendar and presence from their Windows Phone 7 device just as if they were in the office,” Petramala added.
The new mobile UC client enables identical UC functionality across the desktop and mobile device. By leveraging the PBX (News - Alert) infrastructure and eliminating expensive cellular long distance charges, the solution also reduces the overall communications costs of enterprises.
Regardless of mobile device, esnatech delivers fixed-to mobile convergence (FMC) between the Windows Phone 7 OS and enterprise PBX systems such as Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, Nortel, Iwatsu (News - Alert), AASTRA, Toshiba, eON, Shoretel, Asterisk, and others.
The Mobile client for Windows Phone 7 also enables those on esnatech's Office LinX UC platform to access to a broad range of capabilities directly from their wireless device. Users can manage office presence and integrate with enterprise presence solutions such as Microsoft Office Communication Server and Google apps.
With esnatech's new UC solution, employees can determine the presence and availability of their colleagues, initiate and/or participate in instant messaging sessions, manage calls on the office line directly from mobile phone, and view complete call history.
The new mobile UC client is now available as a free download in the Windows Phone Marketplace accessible from your Windows mobile 7 device.
In June, esnatech announced a joint venture with Office Unify, a provider of hosted business Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and network delivery services, to offer an integrated suite of IP communications services for the U.K. market.
