Virtela, the world's largest independent managed network, security and cloud services company, announced it was named a Gold Winner for "Virtualization Innovations" and "Best Customer Satisfaction Program of the Year." The honors came at the 5th Annual Golden Bridge Awards held recently in San Francisco, which encompass the world's best in organizational performance, innovations, products and services, case studies and more, from every major industry in the world.
"This recognition highlights what Virtela (News - Alert) is most passionate about every day: innovation and our customers," said Ted Studwell, Virtela's SVP of engineering and operations. "We maintain an unrelenting commitment to creating innovative cloud services and providing customers with world-class proactive support around the clock, which go hand-in-hand to deliver enterprise network transformation with Virtela's asset-light networking, security and mobility services."
Virtela received two awards at the event. First, the company was recognized for its breakthrough Enterprise Services Cloud (ESC), featuring Virtela Cloud SDN Orchestration Platform. This is the industry's first and only cloud platform purposely built for enterprise networking, security and mobility.
The company was also honored for “Best Customer Satisfaction Program of the Year.” For that achievement, Virtela was recognized for ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction through proactive and personalized support. According to the award, the company maintains an advanced service model that consistently surpasses industry standards. In 2012, Virtela's support team slashed its leading rates for speed to answer by nearly 50 percent, answering first calls within an average of 6.4 seconds, down from 12 seconds in 2011.
Virtela, headquartered in Denver, CO, is the smart alternative to traditional global carriers and equipment vendors for enterprise networking and virtualized IT services. The company delivers award-winning services via its Virtualized Overlay Network and Virtela Enterprise Services Cloud (ESC (News - Alert)) platform, which enables the transition of branch office networking and security services to the cloud.
