EasyLink Moves Fax to the Cloud for Business Messaging

By Jaclyn Allard, TMCnet Web Editor

EasyLink Services International Corporation (EasyLink), a global provider of comprehensive messaging services and e-commerce solutions, has offered cloud-based fax solutions for the enterprise for over two decades, helping organizations become truly paperless, while improving efficiency and productivity, and reducing operating costs.

EasyLink’s Desktop Messaging allows users to send and receive faxes within their existing e-mail clients. However, EasyLink’s solutions extend beyond user-to-user communication. Production Messaging is a straight-through processing solution that automates the creation and delivery of transactions from back-office systems for delivery as fax, e-mail, secure e-mail, EDI or SMS. In addition, EasyLink solutions can improve the workflow process by managing, queuing, and routing inbound transactions based on pre-defined business rules.

EasyLink's entire portfolio of cloud-based fax messaging solutions is designed to address the needs of today's global enterprise by providing greater reliability, availability, and security through a platform-agnostic architecture. Using the shared resources of strategically placed network data centers, cloud-based fax services provide equivalent and higher service levels of an internally-managed fax infrastructure without the associated infrastructure hardware, software, and support expenses.

EasyLink further explores the benefits of cloud-based messaging services in a webinar titled, “Moving Fax to the Cloud for Critical Business Messaging,” Adolf Sommella, director or Sales Engineering at EasyLink Services (News - Alert), and Pamela Bernardino, vice president of Marketing and Product Management at EasyLink Services are partnering to present the reasons why hosted fax represents the most seamless way to replace legacy fax systems, as well as how leading organizations have leveraged cloud-based fax solutions to improve business processes, increase operational efficiencies, and reduce costs. Attendees will also learn about the limitations of server/device infrastructure, drivers for outsourcing fax services, the methodology for migrating to a hosted model, and more.

Those who should consider attending the webinar, Thursday, March 3, at 2:00 PM ET/11:00 AM PT, are CIOs, CTOs, Technology Infrastructure Managers, Telecommunications Managers, as well as other IT executives responsible for enterprise messaging systems.
