Patton, a major player in business and carrier-class VoIP, network access, connectivity and video surveillance equipment, unveiled the “Visuality live streaming 3G/4G Mobile Video Surveillance” system at CeBIT earlier this month.

Officials with Patton (News - Alert) said that Visuality is unique in its ability to record and store high-resolution video from multiple field-deployed cameras while simultaneously streaming live video, audio and global positioning information over standard 3G/4G cellular networks.

Company officials said that Patton’s ground-breaking mobile-video surveillance technology provides advanced situational awareness and intelligence distribution tools that enable governments, armed forces, industries and enterprises to save lives, protect infrastructures and preserve assets.

“Awareness is everything,” said Bryan Dubois, product manager and vice president of special projects, Visuality, in a statement.

Dubois said that when security is at stake, agents and responders need an immediate and comprehensive view of the situation. Visuality delivers full situational awareness -- in real time -- directly from the field, he added.

Patton’s initial foray into the video security market, Visuality is ideal for event security, public safety, VIP protection, asset protection and homeland security operations.

According to company officials, Visuality provides audio/video/data capture and streaming from multiple (mobile and/or fixed) field units while Patton’s powerful encryption mechanisms ensure the information stream remains completely secure over any network—public, private, wired or wireless.

Earlier this year, Patton and ABP Technology, a value-added distributor of IP video solutions, announced a strategic partnership that appoints ABP (News - Alert) as a Master Distributor for Patton’s SmartNode VoIP Gateway product line in the Americas.

Patton has tasked ABP to distribute VoIP equipment to key reseller partners in conjunction with a blitz on the North American VoIP market that began in October.
