Patton's Award-Winning SmartNode Product Returns to ITEXPO

Patton (News - Alert) Electronics, a provider of network-access, connectivity and VoIP solutions, announced plans to exhibit its award-winning SmartNode 4960 PRI VoIP IAD in booth 112 at this year’s ITEXPO EAST, to be held Jan. 20-22 in Miami.

A few years ago, SmartNode 4960 PRI VoIP IAD made its ITEXPO (News - Alert) debut and walked away with INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine’s 2006 Product of the Year award.

This year, the Gaithersburg, Md., communications provider will be sharing a booth with its channel partner ABP (News - Alert), Glen Flowers, product marketing manager, told TMCnet. What’s also new: Patton’s SmartNode 4960 VoIP IAD is now available with G.SHDSL, T1 fail-over/relay and high-precision clock.

“The VoIP IAD is still delivering more profitable business trunking for enterprises, carriers, and service providers,” Patton said in a statement.

The award-winning SmartNode product is a prelude to a deluge of offerings expected to expand into new markets in 2010, including Patton’s SmartNode Session Border controller, Model SN4500, due out later this year.

Patton’s North American channel partners, including 888VoIPStore, abpTech, Deerfield, VoIPLink (News - Alert), and VoIPSupply have ordered “large quantities to load up their shelves to support the burgeoning demand,” Flowers said.

The SN4960 is designed to make the SIP trunking service model profitable for carrier and providers while offering a host of cost-saving and productivity boosting benefits for enterprises. And as enterprises see the benefits of the service model, companies like Patton are poised for success, Bobby Patton, CEO of Patton, told TMCnet in a recent Q&A interview.

“We expect to see strong growth in 2010,” Patton said. “Some of our key telecom customers are just getting rolling with their business-class VoIP offerings. Over the course of 2009 we have been selected and designed in by several more carriers and large OEMs, we expect to see real volumes as a result. Further, our video-surveillance products are just coming on the market. We expect this will add significantly to our revenue.”
