ZyXEL is supporting a range of business applications with the launch of a web-managed, smart, gigabit switch series.

The newly released GS1900 series includes an intuitive Web wizard to simplify complex configuration processes, 8, 16 and 24 port switches with gigabit speed, and PoE+ support.

In addition, this series includes a network error-prevention mechanism, innovative green features and easy browser-based management for a range of business applications.

ZyXEL has made available its GS1900 series of Web-managed gigabit Ethernet switches through all its authorized ZyXEL partners. Businesses can leverage these Ethernet switches to provide quick and easy set up for features like VLAN provisioning, Guest VLAN and QoS settings.

"With the GS1900 series, we have simplified management of sophisticated features without compromising performance," added Joe.

ZyXEL Communications (News - Alert) provides secure broadband networking, Internet access, connected home and routing products. The company was in the news last month when it integrated Axiros' AXESS.ACS (News - Alert) software in its ZyXEL WLAN Management System (ZWMS).

This integration has extended Axiros' reach into the enterprise network management services market, and more specifically, into the Wi-Fi arena in public sectors.

Last year ZyXEL signed a deal with Harrisburg, PA-based D&H, a distributor of IT and electronics, offering end-to-end solutions for resellers and retailers. As per the agreement, D&H will be offering ZyXEL’s complete family of networking products in Canada and the United States.

This alliance also enables ZyXEL to further penetrate the SMB market as well as serve the Canadian market in an effective manner.
