Green Hills Software, a vendor of embedded software solutions, will integrate Symphony Teleca’s (News - Alert) Ethernet Audio Video Bridging solution with its safe and secure INTEGRITY real time operating system (RTOS) and its INTEGRITY Multivisor technology.

Symphony Teleca specializes in providing cloud and connected devices. The combined solution from Green Hills and Symphony will offer automotive OEMs and Tier1s with a low risk track to Ethernet AVB solutions, along with optimum security, availability and scalability for thenetwork service.

According to officials the solution will be delivered as a stand-alone integration based on the native INTEGRITY RTOS. Besides, the Symphony Teleca’s Ethernet AVB solution will be fully integrated with the INTEGRITY Multivisor virtualization platform. This ensures reliability and security in communication between Ethernet AVB messages and native INTEGRITY applications and also to a high-level guest operating system (HLOS) like Linux and/or Android (News - Alert).

Dean Miles, senior vice president Automotive, Symphony Teleca said, “The deployment of Ethernet AVB in next-generation vehicles will open up a wide-ranging assortment of use cases from high-end infotainment systems based on an HLOS like Android to a basic vehicle camera with minimal processor and memory resources.”

The Symphony Teleca Ethernet AVB solution delivers an in-vehicle network that enables automotive customers to provide cost effective in-vehicle-infotainment solutions. Silicon vendors who want to provide Ethernet AVB capable chipsets, automotive OEMs and automotive Tier1 suppliers who want to offer Ethernet AVB capable ECUs or components will all benefit from Symphony’s solutions, added officials.

Recently, Green Hills Software announced the availability of its INTEGRITY RTOS and software development and run-time solutions for the Freescale (News - Alert) QorIQ T4240 multicore processor.
