Fujitsu to Resell NetOmnia that Will Offer Carrier Ethernet SLA Management

Centina Systems recently announced that Fujitsu (News - Alert) Network Communications will now be able to officially resell the NetOmnia SLA Manager and NetOmnia Ethernet Service Assurance for end-to-end visualization and SLA management of carrier Ethernet services. Centina Systems is a specialist provider of service assurance and service quality management solutions for communications service providers (CSPs) all across the globe.


In a statement, Anand Gonuguntla, co-founder and CEO at Centina Systems, said, “Today’s communications operators are facing immense challenges in providing a differentiating Quality of Service for customers amid an explosion of bandwidth demand due to the rise of cloud services, pervasive video and the uptake in smart devices. Services must offer reliability and guaranteed SLAs, while improving network performance and optimizing utilization, in order to achieve a better cost per gigabit of data traffic and lower operating costs. The combination of Fujitsu’s market leading networking technology, world-class services and support and NetOmnia’s innovation gives CSPs a real competitive advantage in delivering and assuring carrier-class Ethernet services.”

With this new offering, Fujitsu will now be able to provide services on the entire Ethernet Life Cycle from solution delivery all the way up to service quality management and SLA management. By offering the NetOmnia Ethernet Assurance and SLA Manager, Fujitsu will now be able to equip CSPs with a solution that can support ITU-T Y1731 and IEEE 802.1ag industry standards.

CSP’s (News - Alert) who use NetOmnia will be able to improve SLA conformance with proactive performance reporting for key Ethernet service quality metrics (SQMs), such as availability, delay, jitter, throughput and packet loss; easily define, track and report on contractual SLAs; create and report on customized Key Performance Indicators and Key Quality Indicators (KPIs/KQIs); automatically discover end-to-end Ethernet services; and collect and monitor service metrics and configure dynamic thresholds.
