Vitesse's E-StaX-III (VSC743x) family of products has been selected for RubyTech's GS-2328X and GS-2352XStackable Layer-2+ managed Ethernet switch platforms.

Platforms from the Taiwanese networking products manufacturer RubyTech are ideal for high density SMB/SME data center connectivity and demanding data, voice and video applications over corporate Enterprise networks.

Vitesse Semiconductor provides advanced IC solutions for carrier and enterprise networks. It was chosen by RubyTech for its Stackable Layer-2+ managed switch platforms based on the company’s satisfaction with other Vitesse Ethernet switch solutions.

“Vitesse solutions easily support our requirements for multiple stacking topologies, simplified management, and advanced security with its E-StaX-III solutions,” said Jason Young (News - Alert), general manager at RubyTech. “This ultimately helped expedite our time-to-market, as we're now in full production and shipping ECO Series GS-2328X and GS-2352X Layer-2+ managed switch platforms.”

Vitesse's E-StaX-III solutions deliver hardware-based stacking supporting less than 10 minutes as compared to several minutes with competitive solutions available in the market.

These solutions allow highly cost-efficient stacking with support for up to 16 Ethernet switch platforms. E-StaX-III can easily reduce network deployment and operational costs as it simplifies network control and configuration capabilities.

E-StaX-III also offers support for ring and chain-based stack topologies. This capability makes them a very flexible solution offering for cloud-based enterprise networks.

"Vitesse's E-StaX-III solutions enable our customers to seamlessly meet evolving Enterprise network demands such as video conferencing, collaboration, VoIP and cloud-based SaaS (News - Alert)/PaaS services," said Harpreet Chohan, product marketing director at Vitesse. "This results in a higher return on investment and faster time-to-market for our customers.”

Vitesse is dedicated to enabling carrier-class remote management, reliability and QoS capabilities in the Enterprise. The company was in news last month for launching Vitesse Service Aware (News - Alert) Architecture (ViSAA) technology that is designed to overcome the performance and implementation issues involved in delivering carrier Ethernet services using an Ethernet switch.
