The alphabet soup that is the enterprise cloud is delivering improved efficiency, performance and cost savings. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) offerings are coming faster than a Nolan Ryan fastball, and with each announcement, release and innovation the enterprise gains that much of a boost. An area garnering much attention is big data and analytical analysis.

Recently, Stackspace introduced to the public beta its new SaaS enterprise cloud, analytics solution. The platform is quickly deployed and ensures secure, speedy data processing and analyzing. It allows users to focus on the operations and actionable insight as opposed to back-end systems in place.

"It makes no sense for organizations to wait for weeks, months, or years for big data systems to become operational and analyze data," noted David Hirko, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Stackspace. "With Stackspace's intuitive interface, companies can launch, configure, and leverage a variety of big data tools in minutes."

Users can optimize configurations, leverage open source big data tools, configure data pipelines and keep an eye on the system’s overall health. Stackspace noted those leveraging the private beta needed minimal direction to get started.

Stackspace provides users the freedom of choice. Most managed service providers will offer restrictive data options, whereas the Stackspace platform provides users with the ability to devise their own distribution in a matter of minutes.

"Because of the increasing democratization of predictive analytics, it is now possible for any organization to apply sophisticated open source analytics to their data," said Mark Bittmann, Director and Data Scientist at Stackspace.  "That's a far cry from previous proprietary analytical systems that ingested a business' data, applied their own algorithms, and returned their own result." 

The enterprise cloud is still in its infancy but know that firms like ServiceNow and Stackspace are making sure the bowl of alphabet soup overflows with solutions that transform IT and business operations.
