Networks are transporting incredible amounts of data, and it is growing exponentially as more smartphones, cloud services and IoT come online. With all this traffic, it is getting more challenging to secure the infrastructure as more bad actors populate the ecosystem. Cato Networks has developed what it calls Network-Security-as-a-Service (NSaaS) to make its security solution readily available without the complexities of traditional protection schemes. And now the company has introduced its Cato PartnerCloud, a channel partner program to address the growing demand of its NSaaS platform.

The migration to the cloud by organizations has simplified IT operations. And, they want their security to be just as easy, without having to rely on the appliance based models of the past. However, the distributed, cloud-centric and mobile-first enterprise environment in which organizations operate is highly complex.

The Cato Networks cloud security was created because organizations were, and still are, migrating away from on-premises firewall security solutions. The company's NSaaS platform uses two layers of protection to deliver a comprehensive service. The first one is the Cato Cloud Network, which is based on a global, geographically distributed network of points of presence (PoPs). The second one is the Cato Security Services, which adds enterprise-grade security on top of the network such as firewalls, VPNs and URL filtering all delivered through the cloud as an integrated managed service.

Enterprises have branch offices, remote locations, data centers, mobile users and customer gateways, making traditional firewalls unsuitable for the moveable parts of today's networks. When you add virtual instances and mobile users being added constantly, the network gets even more difficult to secure. Cato Networks creates an encrypted network out of all these different components. Based on a new architecture, Cato provides a platform that connects all network elements and enforces a unified policy.

By offering its technology as part of its Cato PartnerCloud program, vendors will be able to provide a proven technology to their customers for protecting their networks.

"Our channel partners are the customers’ trusted advisors, and they are uniquely positioned to help businesses adopt NSaaS to streamline their IT operations. Partners can expand their business by creating a new managed service offering to address the growing skills and expertise gaps within their customers’ IT staffs," said Glenn Esposito, vice president of sales, Americas for Cato.

According to the company, its Cato PartnerCloud is ideally suited for and Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) and Value Added Resellers (VARs) who are looking to expand their networking and security solutions, and improve the IT environment of their customers.

The digital threat landscape is only getting worse, forcing organizations to deploy security solutions that are able to protect every attack vector with the best technology possible. Cato PartnerCloud will give ISPs, MSPs and VARs more access to a solution that will protect their customers from these threats.
