AudioCodes (News - Alert), a provider of VoIP technologies and Voice Network products, announced its SmartTAP Call Recording Solution has passed call recording qualification testing for Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync 2010.
With this certification, SmartTAP Call Recording Solution becomes one of the first such solutions in the industry to be qualified under Microsoft Lync ISV Qualification Program.
Microsoft Lync ISV Qualification Program is designed for independent software vendors (ISVs) that have built solutions for Microsoft Lync 2010. The program helps ensure that customers have a qualityexperience with setup, support and use of qualified ISV solutions with Microsoft Lync.
SmartTAP for Microsoft Lync 2010 is a security-enhanced call recording solution that enables the recording of key business interactions, with Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Office Communications Server R2. The solution is compatible with VoIP, TDM, and hybrid telephony environments.
Within the SmartTAP environment, voice conversations are recorded in Microsoft's native Real-time Audio codec providing the highest fidelity of audio recordings in wide-band audio, company officials said. The call recording solution does not require additional PBX (News - Alert) setup or configuration. The solution is ideal for companies in the financial services sector, branch office locations, as well as other highly regulated industries.
By completing the interoperability testing, SmartTAP can be used to record customer interactions for business intelligence and compliance, said Kapil Sharma, principal group program manager, Lync Partner Engineering Team, Microsoft Corp.
The interoperability testing focuses on factors such as Feature Complete, Ease of setup and deployment, API Utilization, system performance and stability, and SDK/API implementation.
"It is very important for AudioCodes to provide our channel partners with a qualified recording solution for Lync," stated Nimrod Borovsky, vice president of Marketing at AudioCodes. "We are pleased to be the first call recording solution tested and validated as part of our overall Microsoft Unified Communications (News - Alert) strategy."
In a recent development, AudioCodes announced that its Mediant 800 Enterprise Session Border Controllers (E-SBCs) are now certified for use with the Customer Interaction Center (CIC), the all-in-one IP communications software suite from Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert), a provider of call center software solutions.
