AudioCodes Debuts New Enterprise Mobile Productivity Suite With MobilityPLUS

Today, AudioCodes, a provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and Voice Network products, announced the launch of MobilityPLUS, an enterprise solution that will help to enhance existing Enterprise Telephony and Unified Communications (News - Alert) systems features that now include a diverse range of leading smart phone platforms.

AudioCodes designs, develops, and sells advanced Voice over IP (VoIP) and VoIP and Data networking products and applications to service providers and companies. AudioCodes heavily focuses on converged VoIP & data communications, and its products are used all around the world in broadband, mobile, cable, and enterprise networks.

With the ability to use current WiFi (News - Alert) or 3G/4G data services already in place, MobilityPLUS can greatly raise the level of productivity within employees who are now able to use the "anytime/anywhere" connectivity, resulting in a greater margin of efficiency in business operations.

MobilityPLUS  can work alongside popular PBXs and IP-PBXs, as well as with the Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Communications Server R2 and Microsoft Lync 2010. This helps businesses to maintain mobility within their existing Microsoft UC environment.

MobilityPLUS includes a version of the widely used AudioCodes VoIP Mobile Access Solutions (VMAS) mobile clients and an AudioCodes Mediant business gateway with a mobility integration application included. The VMAS mobile client is available for Apple iOS, Android (News - Alert), Symbian and other widely spread mobile operating systems, making VMAS compatible with almost all smart-phones used at the present time.

AudioCodes MobilityPLUS helps to greatly cut enterprise communications costs because of the fact that it use pre-existing corporate WiFi networks, public WiFi or mobile broadband (3G/4G) data plans, which cuts the number of mobile voice minutes used, while cutting out completely expensive roaming charges when traveling.

Using this new management system, IT executives can use and then transfer mobile clients to users, providing their office numbers with the ability to answers calls transferred to the mobile handset. This enables a company to keep total control of the users' business identities.

"The emerging Enterprise Mobile VoIP Market is expected to grow very quickly along with the growing use of smart phones by enterprise users," said Elka Popova, program director at Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert).

"Combining a mobile VoIP solution with connectivity to existing TDM and IP communications infrastructure will create great opportunities for enterprises to save costs and increase the productivity of their employees, by utilizing free or flat-rated Wi-Fi and cellular data service plans for business voice communications."
