Enterprises have to display social responsibility towards customers and the public, in addition to their own employees. This not only improves relationships between employees and management, but also helps improve organizational efficiency in the long run. Ensuring worker safety and health will create a positive working relationship.
Motorola and 3M (News - Alert) Peltor have joined hands to provide an array of hearing protective communication solutions for companies that are desirous to better equip their workers and improve their safety.
Motorola (News - Alert) Solutions will be collaborating with 3M Peltor on the 3M Peltor heavy-duty headset portfolio. Initially, 15 new headset products from the Peltor HT, MT and Tactical Pro Series will be launched. These will serve as complementary accessories to Motorola’s digital two-way radios.
The MT7H79 direct radio connect headsets are certified to meet Motorola’s performance standards for APX and MOTOTRBO two-way radios. Motorola is the sole distributor for these devices.
They are most suitable for use in noisy work environments and will also help customers meet the stipulations of hearing conservation programs which are mandated by the U.S. occupational safety and health administration to protect workers. This safeguards workers who are exposed to occupational noise and helps prevent hearing impairment.
The 3M Peltor heavy-duty headset’s portfolio of devices has been designed to provide flexibility and comfort to users even if used for long hours. The devices are available with over-the-head, neckband and hard-hat attached options.
The radio headsets also feature a 22 – 26dB noise reduction rating which is required for hearing conservation. The portfolio also includes field replaceable parts and repair service facilities, even after the expiry of the 12-month warranty period.
Doug Moses, 3M marketing manager, protective communications said, “The 3M brand has been dedicated to providing hearing conservation solutions for noisy environments for years. Through this joint relationship, we are able to complement Motorola’s radio expertise for enhanced communication in high noise environments.”
Further, the two companies have decided to continue building a suite of unique protective communication headsets for Motorola two-way radios.
