In an effort to stay ahead of the curve and give customers what they want before they even ask for it, Dell (News - Alert) Computer has come up with some new, unique customer solutions thanks to recent partnerships.
According to India’s CyberMedia website, partnerships with Apperian (News - Alert), Inc., a platform for securing and managing enterprise mobile apps, and Kony Inc., a cloud-based mobile application development platform in the industry, “will help Dell customers through the development, deployment and management of their enterprise mobility applications.”
The offerings from both companies are available via Dell's Business Innovation Services portfolio, providing digital solutions to customers via mobile, social media, cloud and analytics.
“Apperian's platform allows enterprises to secure, deploy and manage mobile applications through an easy-to-use console, enabling employees to access mobile applications through enterprise-branded ‘app stores,’ whether on their corporate owned or personal device,” CyberMedia noted. “These capabilities make it easy for Dell Services to introduce mobile apps leveraging Apperian's intuitive user experience, ensuring the highest level of user adoption and return on investment.”
Dell will also work with Kony to deliver mobile apps based on the Kony Experience Platform, described as “an integrated, cloud-based platform to support an application software development lifecycle.” According to the company, with Kony “developers can build native, hybrid and Web apps for phones, tablets and desktop with a single code base and rapidly deploy to the cloud.”
The move is just the latest from Dell, which has been more customer-focused of late. For example, the company recently announced the latest release of its Dell KACE (News - Alert) K1000 Systems Management Appliance, which is designed to help customers better prepare and secure their IT environments from the deluge of devices, sensors and objects driven by the “Internet of Things.” Dell KACE K1000 version 6.0 enables organizations to boost their IoT readiness with new features that provide greater visibility across a company’s entire IT infrastructure, and lay the foundation for improved endpoint security.
Earlier this year, Dell Software sponsored a Dimensional Research survey of nearly 700 IT professionals worldwide to assess the array of things connected to corporate networks, and understand the current state of endpoint security.
