Mi-Co the Mobile Information Corporation launched its flagship mobile-forms platform, Mi-Forms, compatible with the Microsoft (News - Alert) Surface Pro Tablet and other Windows 8 Tablets.
According to officials, the Mi-Forms software will enable organizations to customize e-forms and capture data directly using these Tablets. This actually enhances the efficiency of the system while saving on data-entry costs and maintaining accuracy.
Chris DiPierro, Mi-Co (News - Alert) Director of Software Development, remarked, “ Our customers and partners are excited about the new wave of Windows 8 Tablets including the Microsoft Surface Pro, and we’re glad to support a wide variety of options for them to leverage these devices in their own business process to save time and money.”
The company is making plans to launch Mi-Forms v9 in February, 2013. This version is expected to deliver greater support for its “any data, any device, anywhere” message, to cater to the needs of the mobile-forms market.
Mi-Co serves the needs of Sutter Health, Eli Lilly, the NC Department of Agriculture and other organizations.
Dwight Seal, District Manager at the Division of Pesticides, NC Department of Agriculture said, “The upcoming Mi-Forms v9 is an even sleeker, faster and more user-friendly mobile-forms interface for form-filling on Tablets. We are excited to evaluate the Microsoft Surface Pro and use the Mi-Forms software that has been so valuable to us on it.”
nVoq Incorporated, a provider of Web-based solutions using voice recognition that helps enhance speed workflow, has entered an agreement with Mi-Co.
Voice recognition software is being used in the medical field not just in transcription and dictation, but in clinical decision support as well.
nVoq and Mi-Co will deliver voice-enabled versions of templates for the home health and long-term care industries like OASIS or MDS. Additionally, the companies will develop voice-enabled e-Forms for other healthcare settings.
Nurses can use voice or an automated pen to enter data directly into a template at the point of care. That same data is then available for quality review and submission for reimbursement within seconds.
These days, organizations that rely on these voice-enabled mobile forms for reimbursement need quick, accurate turnaround.
