Singlewire Software, a company that develops network-centric notification software for overhead paging, mass notification, and emergency communication, announced the launch of Singlewire CallAware 2.0 emergency communications software for InformaCast.
CallAware is now offered as a core feature of InformaCast with a license of 100 or more endpoints. InformaCast is a full-featured, network-based notification, emergency communication, and overhead paging system that allows users to send an audio and text message to a variety of end points such as IP speakers, Cisco (News - Alert) IP phones, SMS text, social media sites, overhead paging systems, and more.
With CallAware for InformaCast, a group of building first-responders can receive notification, listen in on the call, and begin triage almost immediately, according to Ken Bywaters, executive vice-president of product development at Singlewire Software.
The latest version of CallAware monitors and recognizes numbers dialed within an organization, including 911, and triggers an InformaCast alert message with text details and an audio recording of the call to a pre-defined group of recipients.
The notification can be sent to groups of people within the organization like staff first responders and building manager. These notifications may include a short text and audio description of the caller’s location in addition to a recording of the emergency call. The call also continues to local public safety officials without delay or interruption.
Earlier this year, Singlewire announced the latest version of its InformaCast, a version that boasts digital signage features. The new version 8.1 boasts of new functionality for message confirmation and confirmation-statistics tracking. The Message confirmation feature enables users to confirm the receipt of certain messages and escalate messages to new recipients if confirmation settings aren’t met.
To date, over 3,000 organizations in 45 countries have implemented InformaCast as their notification and overhead paging system, according to company officials.
Recently Singlewire also launched Singlewire M2M plugin for InformaCast, which allows systems to interact with each other without human intervention.
