E911 hosted solutions expert 911 ETC is one of eight Avaya (News - Alert) partners to be selected among the hundreds of DevConnect Compliance-tested solutions available from Avaya’s technology partners for Avaya’s DevConnect (News - Alert) Select Product Program, a new initiative designed to streamline the way customers purchase Avaya-compatible, third-party collaboration applications.

By being a part of the program, 911 ETC (News - Alert) will have the opportunity to place direct orders of DevConnect Technology Partner applications from Avaya and its distributors, rather than ordering through DevConnect partner companies or their resellers and eliminating the need for copious vendor relationships and transactions.

“The process for acquiring these products in conjunction with a larger Avaya-centered solution, or even standalone, recognizes that our DevConnect Technology Partners best understand their own products, and are in a unique position to provide superior implementation and support,” Jon Alperin of Avaya, wrote in a blog post.

Joining 911 ETC in the program will be Communication Resources, Conveyant Systems, DATEL Software Solutions, Integrated Research, NMS Adaptive, VBrick (News - Alert) Systems and Xima Software. As DevConnect Technology partners, they will have access to a variety of technologies, ranging from monitoring and reporting capabilities to predictive dialing, E911, IP video, and call recording.

As an exclusive DevConnect partner, 911 ETC’s services integrate with nearly any platform in existence. CrisisConnect and Locate911 (News - Alert)-A are DevConnect compliance-tested with Avaya Aura Communication Manager, enabling companies to seamlessly implement and maintain a fully hosted and managed E911 solution that adheres to state legislation requirements.

The Avaya DevConnect Select Product program is currently only available in the U.S., and will expand to other parts of the world throughout 2012. As a global program, Avaya DevConnect includes technology companies in more than 145 countries that are addressing the development, marketing and enablement of third-party products that broaden the value of a customer’s investment in its Avaya communication, collaboration, contact center and networking offerings.
