A forum for Avaya (News - Alert) consumers, the International Avaya Users Group (IAUG) thrives to provide resources that can help maximize their communications technology investments. This year, the group is taking it a step further by convening with the entire Avaya user community at the IAUG Global Conference to spread the word on Avaya’s product roadmap and reveal the latest information on 911 services solutions, products and strategies.

At the first-ever IAUG conference being held May 22 to 26 in Las Vegas, 911 ETC will be presenting two sessions focusing on E911. The first session, entitled “NG911 and the Enterprise,” will feature Avaya’s Mark Fletcher and Mike Anderson, national sales director of 911 ETC, discussing Next Generation 911 and the impact it will have in determining the best E911 solutions for the enterprise. On Tuesday, May 24, at 8:30 a.m. PT., both Fletcher and Kito will reveal how voice positioning server solutions impact E911 for the enterprise; how deeper IP discovery within the enterprise occurs for both wired and wireless devices as well as the functionality currently existing within the PBX (News - Alert); and the next steps for Next Generation 911.

In the second session, a Fortune 500 company client will be joined by both Anderson and William Svien of 911 ETC, will present a session entitled, “A Case Study in Affordable E911 Implementation for TDM and IP Across Multiple Geographic Locations," on Wednesday, May 25, at 9:45 a.m. PT.

A basic overview, the session will reveal the best options available to an enterprise facing the challenge of multiple geographic locations and a mixture of TDM/IP; how an existing PBX (News - Alert) can be used to discover IP phones within the enterprise; and what customers can do in the beginning stages of E911 implementation.

This first-ever IAUG Conference will also feature personal insight from top Avaya executives into the company’s consolidated product plans; an exhibit hall showcasing enterprise communications and services designed to complement Avaya and heritage Nortel (News - Alert) solutions; general and breaking sessions featuring both Avaya executives and informational lectures; networking opportunities and a presentation of the IAUG Professional Development Certificate Program.
