DIDX Marketplace Expands with Addition of Alaska DID Numbers

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Super Technologies (News - Alert) Inc.’s DIDXchange has announced that Alaska DID phone numbers have been added to the DIDX marketplace.

According to company officials, now, individual and SMB users of 16,000 telephony service provider DIDX members in 170 nations are eligible to use the DIDX API to purchase on demand.

To ensure expatriates, tourists, traveling business professionals and SMB remote offices can keep in touch with their Alaska counterparts, millions of calls per month will be made to Alaska each month, officials said.

'Mobile operators, CLECs, and all types of companies who use IP communications, are finding major benefit in there business. Those who have purchased the Alaskan DIDs say that both SMBs and consumers are using them and finding benefit,” said Suzanne Bowen, vice president of marketing for Super Technologies, Inc.

Oil, gas and seafood continue to dominate the Alaska economy, demanding that a local presence in Alaska through an Alaskan phone number be present for all individuals hoping to facilitate development and research in these areas.

Universities, enterprises and other organizations around the world can leverage this opportunity and expand their reach and potential in these markets.

“Many are using the DIDs to increase their positive and legal business in regards to the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race that starts in Anchorage and ends in Nome as well as the Stikine River Garnet Fest in Wrangell, the World Ice Art Championships in Fairbanks, the Alaska Hummingbird Festival in Ketchikan, and the Sitka Whale Fest,' Bowen said.

'The Alaska DIDs are sold almost as fast as they are made available on DIDX, so members are encouraged to click their inbox and state a firm purchase number total and top up accordingly.'

In addition to a number of persons responsible for business success in Alaska including, John Luther Adams, Sarah Palin, Ernest Gruening, Jewel, Sydney Laurence, Don Simpson, and Khleo Thomas, many Alaskans speak Spanish and some Asian languages - offering the potential for Asian, European, and Latin-American business collaboration.

A number of key players within the DIDX ecosystems came together last week at the GSMA Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) 2010 in Barcelona, Spain which included discussions focused on the addition of Alaska DID and the opportunities it presents.
