Strong Showing Expected at CommunicAsia2009 and BroadcastAsia2009

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

DIDX, an active media partner of such global telephony conferences as CommunicAsia and the ITEXPO (News - Alert),  announced today that CommunicAsia2009 and BroadcastAsia2009 are expected to feature 2,000 exhibiting companies from 65 countries and regions from across the globe.

The expected attendance record likely signals the continued interest and strong demand by companies to expand their footprint in Asia’s emerging markets, as well as demonstrates the importance of the annual exhibitions as networking and sourcing platforms for the global infocomm and media industries.

“The global gloom has accentuated the gleaming potential in Asia and increased the urgency in which international companies are moving into the continent,” said Stephen Tan, chief executive at show organizer Singapore Exhibition Services.

The shows are set to return from June 16 to June 19 2009 at the Singapore Expo.

The DIDX (DID exchange) platform, operated by Super Technologies, enables users to sell and/or to purchase DID phone numbers of any country in the world, will be featured at the show, according to Suzanne Bowen, vice president of Super Technologies, Inc.

At the recent IT EXPO East held in Miami, Technology Marketing Corporation President Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) shared some questions with DIDX.  Bowen, along with Chief Technology Officer Rehan Ahmed, and the rest of their team, discussed the company’s successes and reflected on the current worldwide economic situation.

One of those successes was the company’s recent announcement that it will soon offer an integration service for its wholesale customers looking to incorporate calls to Skype (News - Alert) service.

In 2005, with the launch of the company’s many international services, Super Technologies, Inc. saw the need for an international provider or exchange of DID numbers. There was none. Thus, DIDX was created.

Now DIDX is an active participant in global telephony conferences.

CommunicAsia2009 will focus on the latest innovative technologies for applications, solutions and hardware, according to Tan. These key technologies have a huge impact on the way people live, work and play and include IPTV (News - Alert) , Mobile Entertainment, WiMAX, Navigation and LBS, Satellite, Femtocell, e-Government, Green IT, and Mobile Internet.

“CommunicAsia (News - Alert) and BroadcastAsia’s established reputation and repeated ability to attract trade professionals from across the Asia Pacific region makes the shows the first choice for exhibiting companies, especially in the current environment of tighter budgets,” said Tan.
