DIDXchange Showcasing Wired and Wireless DID Interconnect at CTIA 2009

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

DIDXchange (News - Alert) is showcasing its partners Speechphone, Grandstream, BlinkMind Communications and Comtel-Networks this week at the CTIA Wireless 2009 trade show in Las Vegas.

The  DIDXchange  has set up shop at the event to demonstrate the many ways it integrates direct inward dialing (DID) through solutions such as virtual office assistant, Skype (News - Alert), GXV3000 Grandstream video phone and GXP2000 IP phone, and Eyebeam’s soft phone - on both IP data side and voice side.

"The 12,500 DIDX members, wired and wireless, who use DIDXchange are well positioned to meet the needs of a crucial segment of the wireless industry, true mobility via international and domestic DID with real lucrative, innovative mash-up and even traditional feeling services," said Suzanne Bowen, vice president of Super Technologies, Inc.

CTIA (News - Alert) visitors can virtually experience being a supplier and/or buyer of DID/DDI in the DIDXchange booth #6467 at the show.

The DIDX (DID exchange) platform, operated by Super Technologies, enables users to sell and/or to purchase DID phone numbers of any country in the world. In 2005, with the launch of the company’s many international services, Super Technologies, Inc. saw the need for an international provider or exchange of DID numbers. There was none. Thus, DIDX was created.

"Wireless operators, CLECs, social community network providers, and such are invited to visit our booth, sign up, complete interop and implement the APIs for access to millions of DID from 54 countries," said Bowen.

As TMCnet recently reported, DIDX.net will soon offer an integration service for its wholesale customers looking to incorporate calls to Skype service.

DIDXchange has also partnered with several new top quality providers during CTIA’s first day with new 0800 DIDs from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, and United States and coming soon Japan, South Korea, and Mexico, according to Bowen.

The wholesale marketplace extends the offer the DIDXchange interop and interconnect to all softswitch, gateway and IP-PABX provider.

One company looking to use DIDxchange get a number in more than 54 other countries around the world is SpeechTronics.

At CITA SpeechPhone is presenting MANDi, its voice activated virtual assistant that works with any phone cellular, land-line and VoIP developed to empower clients to use speech commands from any cell phone. The service can add more than 40 features to any carrier via SIP, according to Valdi Tchakalsky, president of SpeechTronics.

SpeechPhone will assign the client a local U.S. based number, but also provide a number in more than 54 other countries around the world.

”This is easily accomplished by the help of DIDxchange,” said Tchakalsky. “The process of activating an international phone number and adding it to the network is really easy due to the multifunctional web based portal that gives us access to an inventory of more than 17 million numbers around the world."
