DIDX CEO Suzanne Bowen Chats with DIDX Member Iptelven's Alexis Gavidia

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

I recently had the opportunity to work with Suzanne Bowen, CEO of DIDX, on creating content for the company’s DID/DDI channel on TMCnet. And what strikes me is the myriad of ways in which her company continues to grow,  even in a tepid economy, as they continue to introduce new clients and partners into this exciting space.

Bleow is an Interview Suzanne conducted with IPTelven's CEO Alexis Gavidia for the DID/DDI channel.

DIDX is a registered and patented service of Super Technologies, Inc. In 2005, with the launch of the company’s many international services, Super Technologies, Inc. saw the need for an international provider or exchange of DID numbers. There was none. Thus, DIDX was created.

Bowen: What makes your company different from other telephony companies?
Gavidia:What makes the difference in my company is the quality of service and support to our customer? What distinguishes us? We know that problems occur, we don't run from them. We believe in speed and communication in solving them. We don't use fancy jargon or geekspeak.

Bowen: When did you startup and where?
Gavidia: We started our newest idea of helping people and businesses to establish a virtual presence a little more than a year ago, thinking how to solve the problems of communication, especially to be reliable and economical. We started up in Maracaibo in Venezuela.

Bowen: Who are your typical customers so far? What kind of customers? Where are they located?
Gavidia: Most of our clients are Venezuelans who are the outside the country. We offer them the possibility of being in contact with family and friends at a low cost. They are in Brazil, USA, Germany, Chile, Argentina, and Angola.

Bowen: Tell us about yourself. What do you like to do in life, technology, family, etc.?
Gavidia: My name is Alexis Gavidia, born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. I'm an electronic engineer and married to Mercedes Perozo. I like meeting new people to make friends, read blogs like yours Suzanne about technology. Every moment I learn something new. We also take my niece to the movies a lot and just enjoy life.

Bowen: What are your plans for 2009 and later professionally?
Gavidia: My plans for 2009 are simple. Work hard. We'll providing more DIDs of cities in Venezuela and then in other parts of Latin America on DIDX with the best service possible.

Bowen: What do you like about DIDX?
Gavidia: It was quite a surprise to discover all the work that DIDX has done to make a very smart platform for wholesale companies to do business. Thanks to services like what you offer, smaller companies with great services can offer their products to many clients around the world with a minimum investment.

Bowen: What do you wish was available on DIDX that we can improve on?
Gavidia: Until now you offer everything and more that we dreamed from a service such as yours. But, believe me, I will be the first to let you know what to improve because we like the idea of DIDX and want to see it get even better. We will see you at ITEXPO (News - Alert) in February 2009 in Miami.
