For businesses looking for solutions to help deploy and manage Cisco (News - Alert) phones, there’s good news. Deployment and management solutions specialist VoIP Integration has releases the latest version of its Phone Remote solution for use with most Cisco phones.

Like previous versions of the software, the new Phone Remote 3.0, this software allows you to take control of a Cisco phone from anywhere with network connectivity, sending keystrokes to the phone which are interpreted as if the user had pressed the keys on the actual phone. You can control the phone with a Call Manager/Express End User that has device association or with a Call Manager Admin user that has AXL permissions.

The software has a Call Me feature that allows you to configure a destination phone number with a single click, and Key Stroke Macros that allow users to record or enter a series of keystrokes sent to the phone as a group for functions such as call info, phone reset or factory erase.

The solution also has a Capture feature that grabs a screenshot of the phone, saving it as a .jpg file, making screen grabs quick and easy.

It is also useful for troubleshooting remote site features like conferencing and call routing.

In addition to an enhanced look and feel, the new version of Phone (News - Alert) Remote has a number of impressive features. These include: a new macro editor with unlimited macros, a ping and trace utility with various codec emulations, a faster screen refresh, a multicluster configuration, improved keyboard interaction when navigating options, and user configurable screen updates.

Other features include support for 69xx, 89xx and 99xx models, HTTP and CTI control, Web links to Phone Web page and CCM (News - Alert) Admin device settings, network information from within Phone Remote, the ability to search for an extension mobility profile and control the phone when that profile is logged in, support for Call Manager Express/UC 500, and much more.
