For more than 25 years, Server Technology (News - Alert) has been providing the world’s biggest companies with trusted power management solutions to improve uptime and energy efficiency while reducing carbon footprint and operating costs. As a leader in the industry in innovative and cutting-edge technology, it’s only fitting that the data center power solutions provider can be found at the hottest IT conferences and expos of the year, including Data Center World this week.
“AFCOM Data Center World continues to be an excellent venue time after time, both for us as a vendor as well as for attendees,” said Brandon Siri, senior marketing representative, Server Technology. “Data center managers get a lot of value out of attending. AFCOM Data Center World is a thought leadership hub for anyone looking for best practices within the data center environment. If you are looking to improve or build a data center then AFCOM is a great place to go for information.”
The conference features more than 50 education sessions along with greater networking opportunities, including round-table discussions, new “unconference” sessions (sessions that combine both education and networking opportunities for attendees operating within distinct industry segments, including healthcare, education, government and collocation management) and enhanced social functions.
Server Technology will be presenting and exhibiting at Data Center World this week. It hopes to educate data center managers on power best practices, maximizing efficiency and getting the most out of their data center power through intelligent monitoring and management.
“We are excited to see that it is in Nashville, Tennessee,” said Siri. “This area of the country doesn’t typically hold many data center centric trade shows, so we are excited to get face to face time with an audience that we don’t reach on a regular basis at our events.”
Server Technology’s presentation, “Power Monitoring Increases Data Center Efficiency,” will be presented by Marc Eisenberg, director of Sales Engineering, Server Technology. The presentation is geared toward anyone who is looking to save costs, maximize their power and improve capacity planning.
Realizing that customers are looking for ways to simplify their IT infrastructures, Server Technology designed Sentry Power System to eliminate most of the ongoing deployment and management of intelligent PDUs across an enterprise. Sentry Power System combines the world’s most reliable rack-level PDUs with Server Technology’s customer-acclaimed Sentry Power Manager (SPM) by adding exclusive SNAP technology to couple these components. In the presentation, Eisenberg will touch on Server Technology’s predictive analytics, reports and trending for data center power.
Server Technology is expecting to see a lot of discussion about DCIM and other data center monitoring tools.
“This technology is young, so we expect a lot of debate about which approach to DCIM is best,” said Siri. “Server Technology’s CDUs do tie into DCIM and are fully DCIM ready, so in this regard, we are there to learn about the direction of that market.”
“We are actually excited to show off, for the first time, our new 42 outlet cabinet PDU,” said Siri. “More outlets at a lower price in a new form factor. I can’t get into too many details about this product yet, but its soft launch will be at AFCOM, and I guarantee that it is going to be game changer.”
Attendees who are interested in the new product and learning more about Server Technology can stop by booth #506.
The data center solutions provider can also be found at Interop (News - Alert), a conference and exhibition designed to empower information technology professionals to make smart decisions, held this week in New York City. Server Technology’s intelligent cabinet PDUs will power the event from a single interface, allowing for the calculation of efficiency metrics and establishing faster notification and tracking of potential problems
