NetSuite Extends Business ByNetSuite Program for SAP Users

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor

NetSuite has announced the extension of its Business ByNetSuite program for SAP customers.

The NetSuite (News - Alert) program guarantees SAP R/3 software customers at least 50 percent off their current annual maintenance and support agreement when they switch to an annual NetSuite subscription.

The program was introduced last November, and now will be extended through the second quarter of 2009. This will provide customers who are ready for renewal an opportunity to move to a more cost-effectiveNetSuite business management system.

With Business ByNetSuite, SAP (News - Alert) customers can deploy the complete NetSuite ERP offering at a subsidiary or departmental level as an SAP replacement.

In addition, officials said that its ability to help companies manage core business operations in a single on-demand business software system can deliver an advantage over current SAP division-level deployments in terms of cost savings.

Kasei Spandex America has replaced SAP R/3 with the NetSuite program and has cut its monthly operating costs by 80 percent, a savings of more than $1 million annually.

“We were spending 3 percent of our revenue on SAP. By switching to NetSuite, we reduced that cost to 0.1 percent of revenue," said David Stover, chief financial officer for Asahi Kasei Spandex America.

NetSuite is a vendor of on-demand, integrated business software suites that provide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and Ecommerce software for mid-market enterprises businesses and divisions of large companies.

The company also announced NetSuite Multi-Channel Retail Management Suite, a new vertical suite for retailers in North America that allows companies to use one on-demand retail software solution to manage multiple locations with a point of sale (POS) system.

Also this week, NetSuite announced that Iron Mountain (News - Alert) Digital, a provider of enterprise Storage-as-a-Service solutions for backup and archiving, has implemented NetSuite OneWorld to manage its billing operations.
