CDC Software (News - Alert), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDC Corporation, has announced the general availability of Pivotal CRM for Home Building and Real Estate 5.9, described by company officials as a new product version for builders to "reduce the cost and effort of integration with common back-end systems."
Pivotalians describe the product as an "industry-specific customer relationship management system (CRM) designed to help building and real estate firms." It's supposed to help manage front office functions, including marketing automation, lead management, sales automation, quoting and contracting, surveying, and customer care.
The product has library enhancements with support for units of measure, option rules and wildcarding, group calendaring including support for delegation, and C# conversation, which "helps with migration to newer Pivotal platforms," company officials say.
Pivotal CRM is also designed to reduce the cost of integrating with Envision, a widely-used enterprise suite of applications among builders.
Earlier this week CDC Software announced that the Canadian Automobile Association South Central Ontario has selected CDC Software's Pivotal CRM to provide customer service.
CAASCO wanted to increase and sustain membership levels, market the association's products and services to its membership base and improve customer service, organization officials said.
Nick Parks, president and CEO, CAASCO, said he "knew early on" that CDC Software was "the type of company we want to partner with to grow our business." He said the organization wanted a way to inform members of products and services available to them, "as well as be able to improve our customer service."
CAASCO serves approximately 1.8 million members in its club territory and offers insurance, travel and emergency roadside services. There are a total of 5.1 million members of the CAA in Canada.
Parks said the system should also help CAASCO identify and act on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities with clients.
Last month CDC Software announced preliminary revenue results for the fourth quarter of 2007.
Based on preliminary financial data, CDC Software expected total revenues for the fourth quarter of 2007 ended December 31, 2007, to be between $92 million and $95 million, which would be a record for the company and an increase of 35 percent to 39 percent from $68.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2006.
