NetSuite Inc., a provider of cloud-based financials, ERP and CRM software suites, and Informatica, a provider of data integration software, today announced a strategic collaboration which will work to deliver the first cloud computing-based solution for deploying two-tier ERP systems.

The combination of Informatica's data integration with NetSuite's (News - Alert) cloud ERP suite-, will enable global companies to broaden multiple business functions, as well as enhance their on-premise enterprise systems with cloud-based ERP solutions for their regional divisions. With this new two-tier ERP offering, CIOs can cut IT costs, increase business system implementation efficiency, and greatly increase time to market.

Informatica's Cloud combines data processed by NetSuite OneWorld with on-premise systems, such as SAP R/3 and Oracle (News - Alert) Applications at the enterprise level. This new solution is great for multinational companies with multiple divisions that operate across completely different markets, and offering products and services through many different ways.

In order to stay at the forefront of global competition, big companies must able to display adaptability in new market opportunities, while continuing to increase productivity rates and efficiency.

On-premise business systems have a history of being extremely expensive and complicated to support the required business agility. However, with two-tier ERP, enterprises can create new global divisions and subsidiaries immediately, while still increasing the current investment in the company's on-premise enterprise ERP solution.

"The approach offered by NetSuite and Informatica, pairing cloud services with enhanced integration, has significantly improved the success rates and ROI of two-tier cloud ERP strategies," said R. "Ray" Wang, principal analyst and CEO of Constellation Research.

With this newly developed two-tier ERP infrastructure, the existing SAP (News - Alert) or Oracle system will essentially function as a hub at the enterprise level, using a more shapeable and cost effective cloud ERP solutions, such as NetSuite OneWorld.

Informatica's cloud data integration solution basically allows for seamless integration between the on-premise enterprise system already in use with the cloud divisional systems. Using Informatica cloud data integration for two-tier ERP, enterprises can receive many advantages through use of quicker consolidation, real-time performance visibility, and flexibility and control. NetSuite works at a much more rapid speed than any on-premise ERP, and through use can help enterprises form standard systems and process in a matter of weeks or months, instead of years.

"Our partnership combines two best-in-class solutions to bring cloud ERP to the enterprise. CIOs in the world's largest companies now have the tools they need to build an enterprise class hub and spoke strategy that enables them to dramatically reduce their IT costs by standardizing on cloud ERP," said Zach Nelson (News - Alert), NetSuite CEO. "With NetSuite and Informatica, organizations can standardize on the cloud and retain the power and value of their existing systems, at a fraction of the implementation time of a wholesale IT overhaul, and with a much higher degree of success."
