Customer relationship management, or “CRM,” software provider, Salesforce.com has released Spring ’10, the 31st generation release of the company’s premium software product. With new features across the Sales Cloud 2, Service Cloud 2 and Force.com applications, Spring ’10 offers an upgraded user interface that will open a new door of CRM applications.
Dan Chiazza, vice president of Harris Interactive (News - Alert), Salesforce.com and cloud computing have transformed the company’s business.
“We're looking forward to getting our hands on the new Spring '10 innovations so we can continue to enhance our ability to gain market share and improve the overall business performance,” Chiazza added.
According to company officials, Spring ’10 will keep the same platform Salesforce.com (News - Alert) has had such success with over the years, but will have an updated look and feel, allowing for a cleaner and easy-to-locate interface.
Marc Benioff (News - Alert), chairman and CEO of Salesforce.com, said that the new release – while an upgraded model – offers no additional costs or headaches to its users.
“The brand new user interface is the result of Salesforce.com's relentless focus on usability and adoption, which has made us the leader in enterprise cloud computing,” Benioff added.
For the Sales Cloud 2, the new Spring ’10 will add features to help agents drive more sales and generate more leads with real-time quotes with the new system’s quote sync.
“With real-time quotes, sales reps will now be able to use Sales Cloud 2 to automatically populate quotes with relevant customer data,” company officials said, adding that reps will be able to generate and send sales quotes to prospects with just a few clicks.
“The new features in Spring '10 for Sales Cloud 2, Service Cloud 2 and Force.com are focused on helping companies leverage cloud computing to positively benefit their bottom line,” said Mary Wardley, IDC (News - Alert).
Additionally, with the Service Cloud 2 system, the release will enable call center agents to access tracking tools as a way to expand customer relationships and turn around more sales contracts.
For Force.com, Salesforce.com’s premier cloud computing platform, the Spring ’10 features will extend capabilities for users by offering an Adobe flash builder which provides a single tool for building cloud-based rich Internet applications.
“Developers will be able to use Adobe Flash Builder for Force.com to extend or enhance existing Salesforce CRM implementations and custom-built Force.com applications, or build entirely new applications to provide customized user experiences for any business need,” company officials said.
What’s more, with the already implemented Force.com now equipped with the Spring ’10 upgrade, users will have new authenticated sites that will permit companies to run both public and private authenticated web sites on the Force.com platform.
