With the Internet-savvy population increasing and people browsing the Web for almost everything, the digital channel is fast becoming a medium for personalized engagement. This is something that all industry sectors are looking to take advantage of, and travel holiday companies are no exception.
Sunweb Holidays, a division of the Dutch group Sundio, reached out to LivePerson's (News - Alert) digital engagement solution to increase online conversion rates. The European tour operator realized that it had to capitalize on the growing number of site visitors that were browsing holiday options and evaluated many solution vendors in the market.
According to Sunweb, LivePerson emerged as a clear winner. Its digital engagement platform, with its “less intrusive and more lucrative” approach and strategy towards customer acquisition, was appealing to the company.
"The solution meets all of our expectations: it's flexible, fast and efficient. Half of the campaigns that we generate are designed by LivePerson and half are designed by our teams: this complimentary solution generated a substantial lift in the overall conversion rate,” explained Thomas Courjeault, marketing director at Sunweb.
Confidence in LivePerson’s solutions was also reinforced by the fact that the LivePerson's LiveEngage platform was successfully implemented by Sundio France in the summer of 2013 when it was used to book holiday packages on Sunweb.
A further test with the LivePerson chat solution with Ski Horizon for the 2013 winter season also resulted in value add for the brand’s call center. LivePerson’s experience and capability of providing, rich and personalized engagement impressed Sundio.
The partnership was a win-win for both. Sunweb Holidays’ image as a truly innovative and customer-centered company received a boost, with a 35 percent increase in online conversion rates, while LivePerson’s "intelligent engagement,” chat and click to call solutions were to extend onto the Sunweb site.
