Video conferencing software provider IOCOM has launched Visimeet, a cloud-based video conferencing software capable of conducting collaborative business meetings anywhere, anytime on Android (News - Alert) devices.

According to a press release, this collaborative multi-party mobile application for conference calls allows mobile users to connect with room and desktop systems. IOCOM and Wireless Innovations, a Sprint Business Solution Partner, have already displayed the Visimeet mobile application on the HTC (News - Alert) EVO and the Samsung Galaxy Tab to many corporation seeking devices to bring video conferencing capabilities to their mobile workforce.

“We are taking video conferencing to the mobile device with the development and launch of the Visimeet Android application,” said Jim Miller, CEO of IOCOM. “We understand the importance of users to be able to conduct collaborative business meetings from anywhere at any time. We are excited to launch a multi-party mobile conferencing solution.”

The IOCOM Visimeet Android application allows mobile subscribers to run the Visimeet software app over wireless networks with the ability to conduct multi-party sessions in a collaborative environment. This application enables users to send and receive video and utilize collaboration tools such as chat, desktop sharing and file sharing. Apart from this, the mobile application will also empower users to have presence with their contact list similar to the Visimeet version, which runs on any PC or Mac and connects to other Visimeet users.

With the installation of Visimeet, users can include room systems, desktop/laptops, mobile app users as well as phone users joining through the Visimeet conference call dialer. Legacy video conferencing devices can also be connected with Visimeet.
