Telehouse America, Telehouse Europe Ready for ITW

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

As International Telecoms Week (ITW) approaches, Telehouse America is gearing up for the annual event, which allows the global wholesale telecommunications community to buy and sell both voice and data products and services.

Telehouse, a pioneer in data center and colocation facilities, will join Telehouse Europe from May 23-25 in Washington D.C. for ITW 2011. Telehouse has 41 data centers worldwide and operates two SAS (News - Alert) 70 Type II data centers and colocation facilities in New York, including a 162,000 square ft. flagship disaster recovery center and headquarters in Staten Island, N.Y., and a downtown Manhattan multi-tenant data center at 25 Broadway.

Telehouse has attended ITW for the past two years and is looking forward to attending a trade show with Telehouse Europe for the first time.

“We are looking forward to hosting the UK team who are flying in for this major international event,” Fred Cannone (News - Alert), director of sales and marketing for Telehouse, told TMCnet. “This is the only trade we attend in which both teams participate which is why it’s such a focus for the global development of Telehouse.”

“This is also special because it is the only trade show we attend together and the only chance our sales teams get to connect face to face,” he added. “This is the best possible environment for prospective clients and current customers as they can ask our experts questions about the day to day operations of both the USA and European facilities in one place.”

Telehouse will be extending an exclusive, secret promotion to ITW attendees, which will only be available to people who attend the show and visit the colocation company’s booth, No. 740.

Telehouse, which is a global company, is looking forward to showcasing its global reach of at this show and discussing its most recent investments in New York (Telehouse Chelsea), Paris (Telehouse Magny) and London (Telehouse West).

“The Telehouse Europe team are equally sharing the booth with the USA team and promoting our global solutions and our Euro Asia connectivity,” Cannone said. “Our fiber route, through the KDDI (News - Alert) Network is one of the shortest Euro to Asia routes available. The latency from Europe to Asia is only 190 milliseconds, offering customers nearly 30 percent latency reduction compared to other routes. Telehouse is attending ITW to promote our solution selling for customers all over the world.”

This isn’t the first time, however, that Telehouse and Telehouse Europe are teaming up. The two

shared the ITW booth last year at ITW 2010.
