Global provider of managed services and infrastructure for outsourced IT and cloud computing Datapipe (News - Alert) expanded its reach in Asia recently with new data center facilities and business offices in Singapore. The company established its presence in the region back in 2005 when it launched Datapipe Asia in Hong Kong, later making its way into mainland China with data center facilities in Shanghai.

As such, moving into Singapore gives Datapipe clients access to three of the most strategic location in Asia-Pacific.

This Asian expansion is a significant step for Datapipe, which has had a pretty busy year so far. For example, earlier in September, the company entered into a partnership with Presidiohealth, a provider of real-time, Web-based revenue solutions for physician practice management and billing. This agreement sees Datapipe providing its HIPAA Compliance package as part of a custom solution that provides real-time, Web-based revenue workflow applications for physician practice management and billing.

Back in July, Datapipe made headlines when Breeders’ Cup Limited selected its Stratosphere cloud platform to handle delivery of the Breeders’ Cup Fantasy ‘Capping online game, enabling it to scale from zero traffic to over 10,000 hits very quickly.

“Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai are the preferred locations for multinational companies to establish their headquarters in the APAC region,” said Robb Allen, Datapipe CEO. “This expansion enables us to directly service our enterprise clients in all three locations.”

Datapipe’s entire line of managed cloud services is now available in Singapore, including Stratosphere, the Datapipe High Performance Compute Cloud, Datapipe Managed AWS and AWS Direct Connect for hybrid cloud solutions. Furthermore, the company’s new data center to data center interconnectivity will be blazing-fast thanks to Singapore’s fiber-rich network infrastructure and diverse connectivity options. This will allow clients to move data efficiently and securely between each Datapipe Asia location, as well as all other facilities in the broader Datapipe network.
