Cloud recording software provider OrecX has experienced tremendous growth as the need for a recording suite that can handle diffuse offices and agents becomes clear. Orecx’s (News - Alert) products have sky rocketed in popularity around the world because of their open source nature and ability for deep customization. This has also allowed developers to quickly roll out new languages and quickly capture new markets.

The company’s free Oreka GPL software has been downloaded and used in over 145 countries, a testament to utility and wide-spread adoption of their open source cloud based recording utilities project. Another version of the software, Oreka TR has also offers language support for the Cyrillic Russian dialect, Croatian, English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. The localization process is simple and can be completed for any language quickly and with little investment. For the come to begin development on supporting another language, all that is needed is translation of two string resource files (orkweb.properties and my.properties).

Another major advantage of OrecX’s solution is that it’s relatively cheap in comparison to alternate call recording platforms. According to OrecX’s Co-Founder, Bruce Kaskey (News - Alert), “because the product was built off of the open source code we developed OrecXs’ product suite at a much lower cost, so we can pass the cost savings back to our customers.” The systems also has the benefit of being platform agnostic, so you won’t need to change hardware or operating systems to get the best out of the solution.
