Each year, a growing number of organizations that wish to provide their customer base with flexible, scalable and highly cost-effective application services have embraced cloud computing technologies.
Just this week, UK-based PROACTIS announced its intention to offer its spend control and eProcurement solutions via the cloud. The company will deliver its suite of cloud-based procurement software and services to its North American customers through a partnership with NaviSite, a leading provider of managed cloud services (MCS), managed application services and enterprise hosting, according to a company release.
By adopting NaviSite's (News - Alert) MCS, PROACTIS will be able to significantly reduce its IT management costs, while simultaneously diminishing the inherent risk of implementing and operating its own infrastructure. The collaboration with NaviSite will enable PROACTIS customers to efficiently and cost-effectively respond to their ever-evolving resource requirements.
“We are very pleased to partner with NaviSite to provide a range of cloud-based eProcurement delivery options to our North American customer base,” Sean McDonough, COO, PROACTIS, noted in a statement.
“NaviSite is a proven leader in providing complex enterprise-class application hosting services. Their large footprint means they are also positioned to support the global deployments a number of our customers are now undertaking," he added.
Mark Clayman, senior vice president of enterprise sales at NaviSite, said that PROACTIS will be able to "expand its application delivery channels" and better support its evolving client base by adopting NaviSite's suite of software and services.
NaviSite's managed cloud and enterprise hosting solutions are able to deliver applications and data through a security framework that ensures the highest level of privacy and integrity. The company's solutions are sustained by first-rate support and service-level guarantees.
PROACTIS provides its hallmark procurement and purchase-to-pay software and services to more than 350 organizations in 70 countries. The company's suite of cloud-based, SaaS (News - Alert), dedicated managed hosting, on-premise and hybrid-based solutions are utilized by organizations to simplify and better control the procurement process.
