Cloud computing is only getting more popular as we move further into the 21st century. While people have been slow to see all the exceptional benefits that the tech can offer, businesses are coming around quite quickly. There are any number of different reasons why one company or another might find cloud computing the way to go. There are some very specific reasons why every company should give the technology another look. Industry analysts like Rachel Craig have managed to come up with a list that should make any company stand up and take notice.

Accessibility and flexibility are two of the top reasons why companies are taking another look at running things through the cloud. If an office operates largely on the cloud, they can actually run an office without having a central office. People are able to access the cloud from a number of different devices. A company can grant as much or as little access to their files as they feel is necessary to someone who is working from another city, or even their living room.

Security is another function of the cloud that simply doesn’t get enough play these days. Most people look at the cloud as being a detriment when it comes to security. The fact is that the cloud can actually be a boon when you are looking for a safe place to store files. If you store all your documents on your laptop or desktop, and that computer is then stolen or lost, you have a real security problem. If your important documents are only stored online, stealing them becomes quite a bit more difficult. Losing them becomes almost impossible.

The ability to back up your work comes into the equation here as well. Losing your work can mean physically losing it, or it can mean accidently deleting or having your hard drive go out. Having a place where you can store your work, which is not as prone to these kinds of problems, is going to stand out to any business that wants to save money, time and frustration in the 21st century.
