ALOE Systems, formerly MERA Systems (News - Alert), a provider of carrier-grade softswitch solutions, has officially partnered with Vera Networks to broadly expand its business and sales growth in North America.

Based in Canada, ALOE Systems conducts most of its business in Eastern Europe and Russia.  Though the U.S. market has always been among the top priorities for ALOE Systems, the company was unable to use the full potential  of the region. To develop its market presence in the U.S. ALOE Systems employed the help of Vera Networks.  

Vitaly Potapov, senior sales manager for ALOE Systems stated in an interview, “At a point, when we were analyzing the market, and we figured a different approach would boost our sales. We approached friends from the telecom industry. We found that many customers would prefer to go through a turnkey approach that encompasses all aspects of the networking instead of a partial solution. We’re trying to go from a partial sales direct approach to this complete approach.”

ALOE found the solution to this approach with Vera Networks, creating a delightful play on words with the partnership forming “Aloe Vera.” Christopher Bradish, CEO of Vera Networks, stated in an interview, “My team and I have been in the wholesale carrier space for a number of years. We will be developing the U.S. market for ALOE, and developing strategic relationships through direct sales of our own, as well as through supporting resellers.”

Bradish continued, “We’re a systems integrator; We can do anything from providing a complete network solution, to providing one or many parts of this solution.”

Developing the partnership a couple of months ago, the two businesses continue to reach the U.S. markets, specifically by participating in TMC’s recent ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2011 event in Miami.
