After receiving Frost & Sullivan’s Global Product Differentiation Innovation Award for the World IPTV (News - Alert) Access Infrastructure market to end a solid year, ECI Telecom has kicked off 2009 with a flurry of moves that is positioning the Israel-based company as a leader in the networking infrastructure space.
The award, given for the company’s Hi-FOCuS Multi-Service Access Node (MSAN), as well as its product differentiation and commitment to innovation and future-proof capabilities, is a validation of sorts, says Tony Scarfo, chief strategy officer of ECI Telecom (News - Alert).
“ECI continually strives to take our products to the next level, anticipating the needs of our customers and delivering solutions that maintain the highest of standards. This recognition further validates our successful Hi-FOCuS MSAN line and the value it offers our customers for current and future network deployments,” said Scarfo.
The Hi-FOCuS platform is considered a key element in the company’s of 1Net business framework. It is designed for optimized transition to next-generation networks, helping carriers migrate their networks while leveraging their existing investment.
ECI's platforms are future-proof and support key applications including business services, voice, video and wireless backhaul, according to the company.
“The Hi-FOCuS’ future-proof capabilities are attractive to customers, as they can gradually introduce new services, while guaranteeing support for legacy services,” said Scarfo.
Scarfo also noted the company continues to make greater inroads in the IPTV access market and is ECI continually strives to take products to the next level, anticipating the needs of customers and delivering solutions that maintain the high standards.
In fact, as TMCnet recently reported, the company recently signed a two-year managed services contract with SMART Communications, the Philippines largest cellular operator.
ECI has been providing infrastructure solutions to SMART and other Philippine operators for over a decade and considers the local market an important and strategic part of its APAC operations.
The networking infrastructure solutions provider ECI Telecom also landed a multi-million dollar project to help build transport mission-critical applications for France’s high-voltage power environment.
