Keeping Communications and Network Services for US Army Secure

CACI International Inc, which provides information solutions and services in support of national security missions and government transformation for intelligence, defense, and federal civilian customers, has been selected as a prime contractor to provide communications and network services to the U.S. Army’s Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate (S&TCD)—all of which benefit from services like call recording, which can be used for both security and procedural compliance purposes.

The contract, which has a ceiling value of $497 million, is expected to expand CACI’s presence in its high-volume C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) market area. CACI will also provide research, development and evaluation in support of communications and networks systems under the S&TCD Division technology areas including antennas, system engineering, satellite communication, cyber security, and communications networks. With so many features to manage, a call recording solution in the mix helps keep all that communication documented and verified.

“This new work in communications and networking services positions us to expand our business in our high-volume C4ISR market area,” said John Mengucci, chief operating officer and president of U.S. operations, CACI.

Mengucci went on to say that CACI’s proven technical solutions and program management methodology offer the U.S. Army the necessary support to keep the troops connected and safe by securing wireless military communications and networking technologies.

Ken Asbury, president and chief executive officer, CACI said that CACI’s award of a prime position on this large, complex communications and networking services program for the U.S. Army is a powerful testament to the expertise and services the company provides in the C4ISR market area.

“We continue to align our solutions and services with our customers’ missions to safeguard our nation in the face of today’s threats and keep our armed forces informed, equipped, and mission-ready,” said Asbury.

Earlier in January, CACI had announced that it was awarded a $45 million prime contract in the first quarter of its fiscal year 2014, which ended September 30, 2013, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Finance Division (FD) to provide operation and maintenance for the Bureau's financial and procurement management systems.

Awarded under the FBI Triple S contract vehicle, which supports a full portfolio of information technology supplies and support services, this four-year task order contract is new business for CACI and further expands CACI's presence in its high-growth Business System Solutions market area. In this age of new and emerging security threats, having the best communications services, protected by call recording and other features, is essential... especially when it's for the U.S. Army.
