The United States is becoming more bilingual as each day passes. While the majority of people speak English in the country — and this doesn't seem to be changing any time soon — there are many who feel more comfortable addressing their issues in Spanish. To a growing number of people living in the continental U.S., Spanish is their native tongue. This also applies to their children, as it is also the language of choice for the household in many cases. But don't take my word for it. Pew (News - Alert) Research Center says that over 37.6 million people speak Spanish in their homes. That's roughly one-tenth of the country.
The phenomenon described above also explains why customer service is currently the second highest-in-demand industry when it comes to the demand for bilingual Spanish service providers. This means that the pool of callers that require Spanish speakers on the other end of the line is growing faster than the market can satisfy the demand. In lieu of this, Arise Virtual Solutions (News - Alert) has now announced that it is partnering with a number of Fortune 500 companies to help pick up the slack on this demand by providing flexible work-from-home opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs who speak Spanish or companies that employ bilinguals.
Arise is also stretching the horizon for minorities who own businesses by lending them a hand and allowing them to tap into their client pool. Using this opportunity, they can hire more Spanish speakers who want to get a leg-up in the marketplace and enhance their skills through a flexible workplace environment.
Arise doesn't wish to present this opportunity as a “job,” but rather an exciting and flexible work package that puts the Hispanic community on better footing. Businesses will be able to set their own schedules, select whatever piques their interest, and work from the comfort of the home. Agents will be able to set their own terms on how much they earn by determining how much they will work throughout the day.
