The offshoring of call center jobs has received a lot of flak because of the increasing security risk to personal data, and American companies are looking to better serve regional and national clients by opening call centers locally. TransPerfect Remote Interpreting (TRI) is following this trend by opening its second call center in Tempe, Ariz., area.
With the demand for U.S. based language services seeing an upward curve, the Phoenix metro area appears to be an ideal location for TRI, a provider of call center support and over-the-phone interpretation services, which intends to hire 400 interpreters for the new facility.
“With the strong candidate pool in the Phoenix metro area, we look forward to staffing our new facility with a wide variety of linguists as well as technical and management personnel over the course of 2014,” noted Liz Elting, co-CEO of TransPerfect.
Although interpretation is a rather complex task, TransPerfect provides a full array of language and business services and TRI has the resources to meet remote interpretation needs in any language. It offers its services in over 170 languages. These services are performed in the country to eliminate security concerns.
TRI’s independent systems architecture ensures that as communications technologies continue to evolve and business requirements change, its systems will keep pace. It goes beyond the traditional over-the-phone interpretation by extending its services to encompass VoIP, Web-based audio and browser-based video. Users can connect to an interpreter using any device that they prefer.
Over the years, Tempe has expanded not only as a suburb of Phoenix, but also a center of education and commerce, and the opening of a second call center in that region will give a fillip to its residents.
