VoltDelta’s (News - Alert) OASIS platform, an Internet Protocol (IP
)–based switching and contact center system, has been picked to update the voice and data systems of Fonecta Group, a Finland-based directory service company. Formal acceptance and delivery of the system is scheduled for later this year.
OASIS is an IP-based switching and contact center system with integrated signaling system 7 (SS7) support as well as the ability to migrate to a full next generation network architecture with Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP
) signaling.
VoltDelta had won the contract from Fonecta Group last November, to provide the OASIS system in support of Fonecta’s voice-based information services. The solution allows Fonecta to upgrade its voice and data systems to voice-over-IP (VoIP
) while still maintaining its support for Finnish SS7 network interconnect signaling.
The VoltDelta solution also provides call automation using OASIS IP-IVR
tool. This facility includes the trial use of “store and forward” call flow and real time monitoring tools for VoIP quality of service. Also included in OASIS is Volt Delta 360 Personal system to offer a tailor-made caller experience to Fonecta’s customers. Further, VoltDelta offers a rich set of billing capability, both offline and online, with call-detail record (CDR) generation.
Along with OASIS product set, VoltDelta offers a range of professional services, especially during the project implementation and rollout phase, in addition to its full 24x7 support services.
Apart from giving a wide range of contact center and switching capability, OASIS system also provides integrated call and agent screen recording, SMS capability and rich OASIS computer telephony integration (CTI
).
“I am very pleased to welcome our first customer from Scandinavia,” said Noel Hughes, managing director of Volt Delta International, in a statement. “It’s no surprise to me that they are also implementing our personalization product as Fonecta has impressed us with its innovative and forward thinking plans and ideas for service development. The project teams have worked really well together as the project has developed and we are well on track to support Fonecta as it commences live services using the OASIS platform and we look forward to having a long term relationship.”
Before finalizing the contract with VoltDelta, Fonecta conducted a detailed interconnect and billing validation exercise to ensure that VoltDelta system performed in the Finnish environment.
“The OASIS system exceeded our expectations in easily passing all of our test processes and we are now focused on finalizing the system implementation in order to commence live service later this year,” said Lauri Kangaslahti, director of Fonecta, in a statement.
“Since we face such a fast changing business environment in Finland, with a demanding customer base, the ability to deploy new services, tailor services to segments and individuals and ensure we can bill effectively for them is essential. We believe that the OASIS platform from Volt Delta will enable us to deliver such flexibility,” added Kangaslahti.
