As the sixth largest owner and operator of cable systems in the U.S. and the second largest in Florida, Bright House Networks is experiencing growth in its customer base by providing services with technologically advanced systems in Alabama, Indiana, Michigan and California. In order to address the needs of its customers, the company announced it is adding a call center in East Manatee, Fla., providing 120 new jobs.
Sabrina Rocco reported the company's announcement on bradenton.com, adding the new center will be part of its East Manatee facility which currently houses 140 employees, including service technicians, installers and dispatchers.
The company now uses its centers in St. Petersburg and Tampa to answer customer calls from Manatee County, but the growth in the region, which is increasing the customer base has led the company to invest in its workforce to take advantage of the opportunities that will come its way as more people continue to move into the area.
"Adding the call center brings additional resources for BrightHouse Networks to meet customer demands and future growth. We're looking for people who can communicate well, be outstanding customer-service reps with strong commitments to customer service," said Bright House spokesman Joe Durkin. In addition to English speakers, the company is looking to address the large Hispanic community in Florida by hiring bilingual call center operators.
The company said 120 of the new employees will be hired directly from the community, with training for the first round of new candidates beginning at the end of the month.
The new call center will provide 24 hour full-service solutions to help customers in Manatee County with adding new services, requesting technicians, bill payments and more.
Bright House Networks serves around 2.5 million customers by providing video, high-speed data, voice services, and home security and automation. As the only cable company with Cisco Master Service Provider Certification under the Cisco Cloud and Managed Service Program and MEF (News - Alert)-certified, it also provides advanced cloud-based business solutions for video, voice, data, and managed services.
