Skybridge Americas, a call center and product fulfillment company, has announced that it has opened a new call center near Minneapolis which will add nearly 200 jobs to the region.
“Skybridge Americas, Inc. is aggressively growing its U.S. operations in Greenfield, Minnesota,” said CEO and President Kevin Cattoor, “providing several opportunities for people located in Greenfield, Rogers, Buffalo, and the Western suburban area to secure both part time and fulltime positions.”
The impetus for the new call center came with the extension of a five-year contract with Publishers Clearing House.
“Skybridge Americas has been successful in retaining business with Publishers Clearing House for over 20 years, as they transformed their business from purely a direct marketer of magazine offers to a multi-channel direct marketer of value-based merchandise, magazines and promotional offers, and a leading provider of digital ‘play and win’ entertainment,” said Skybridge VP of sales and strategy, Keith Schwartz.
The call center will focus on serving Publishers Clearing House members, with correspondence processing, customer service and technical support of PCH’s website through the end of 2018.
It’s also an attempt to lure talented employees to the Twin (News - Alert) Cities instead of places like the Silicon Valley.
“Long-standing business partnerships are a result of hiring talented employees, and we are excited about bringing more jobs to Minnesotans,” Cattoor said.
Skybridge will also be supporting four newspapers. One of them is the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
“The Star Tribune is always focusing on increasing the quality of support we provide to our subscribers,” said Star Tribune senior vice president of circulation Steve Alexander. “Moving customer support functions to a highly regarded, local contact center that understands our market will allow us to improve service to our customers.”
It’s not just the Twin Cities business community that’s taking notice. TMC’s (News - Alert) CUSTOMER magazine named Skybridge one of the top 50 teleservices companies earlier this year. Skybridge also operates a call center in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
