NICE Systems (News - Alert), a provider of advanced solutions for companies to capture, storage, retrieval and analysis of customer interactions for contact centers and enterprises, has received follow up orders from Cherokee Nation Entertainment, or “CNE,” for its NiceVision video surveillance solution.

Last year, CNE initiated a project to replace its casino video surveillance systems with NICE’s IP-capable video surveillance technology in efforts to upgrade and improve the casinos technology.

Brandon Hill, senior manager of Corporate Surveillance for CNE said that the company went through various software package tests in order to determine the appropriate candidate for the job.

NICE’s software gives CNE exactly what they need: reliability and the assurance that those surveillance cameras don’t miss a beat on the busy casino floor.

“Converting to NICE allows us to narrow our software packages to a single operating unit company wide,” said Hill.

From CNE’s larger properties to its smallest assets, NICE can adapt to the company’s needs, offering premier solutions and up to date telecom software.
“We appreciate the support we receive with the NICE technology, the user friendliness that it offers, and the adaptability of the NICE security solutions to our individual property demands,” said Hill.

The specific system CNE chose was NICE’s NiceVision Net IP, Network Video Recorders, or “NVRs,” encoders and a NICE Virtual Matrix for video management.

These aforementioned systems are currently being installed in two of CNE’s casinos: the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa and the Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs, which will use 100 percent megapixel and IP cameras.

Chris Wooten, president, Security Division Americas, NICE, said that the company is pleased that CNE chose to standardize the casinos with NICE’s systems, which has provided numerous casinos with IP-capable video surveillance.

“Upgrading to NICE Systems’ NiceVision solution will afford CNE the benefit of leveraging its existing investments while making the transition to megapixel and IP,” said Wooten.

NICE Systems could not be immediately reached for comment.
