Improved Solutions for SMB People-Management Unveiled

A new suite of solutions designed to simplify payroll and employee tasks for small businesses, as well as provide tools for improving an employee’s overall wellness in and out of the workplace, has just been rolled out.

The first of the new features from Ceridian is a fully functional mobile app that provides access to Ceridian’s acclaimed payroll management services. The app allows clients to carry out payroll tasks with much more convenience while retaining all the services that are available in the Web-based version including employee search capabilities; time entry; payroll processing and scheduling; access to payroll and standard reports; payroll results; and tools to maintain compliance with applicable regulations. The service, called Ceridian HR/Payroll for Small Businesses, also provides support from Ceridian's Small Business Service Delivery team.

Ceridian has also introduced Time & Attendance, giving managers the ability to easily track employee work details. Again geared specifically at small businesses, this feature considerably simplifies the process of managing the data and sending it to payroll. It also provides a method of controlling how employees earn balances on work performed outside of the workplace. Offered as a software-as-a-service solution, Time & Attendance is based in the cloud with comprehensive mobile or Web access.

Lastly, Ceridian has introduced a program to enhance the welfare of clients’ employees. Ceridian LifeWorks for Small Business is a full-service Employee Assistance Program (EAP) built for employees and their families. With this feature, employees are able to gain access to counseling and resources for a variety of lifestyle and wellness topics and issues. LifeWorks is also available as an app to improve the convenience and usability factors.

These three new services represent a consolidation of Ceridian tools onto a mobile platform, an attribute that is increasingly important as mobile devices continue to rise in popularity and convenience dictates that people expect to be able to get more done while on the go.
